Katarina  Kresal  is  the founder and President of  the  European  Centre  for  Dispute  Resolution,  a  regional  institution that provides alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures and consultation on  Rule  of  Law  projects.  As  an  ADR  expert, Ms. Kresal  specializes in designing  mediation  systems, various  ADR schemes and their capacities, including  the  integration of women. Prominent political figure, she has served as  Minister  of  the  Interior,  as member  of  the  National  Assembly  (MP), as president  of  the  parliamentary  party  Liberal  Democracy  of  Slovenia,  and  as  vice-president  of  the  Liberal  International. Ms. Kresal is also an Attorney-at-law and  Partner, responsible  for  strategic  planning  and  international  projects. She is also the Head  of  the  Dispute  Resolution  Department  at  the  Law  Firm  Miro  Senica  and  Attorneys,  Ltd. Prior  to  her  work  as  an  attorney, she  gained  her  experience  in  dispute  resolution  and  corporate  commercial  matters by working as an independent advisor, by being the judicial clerk in the District Court of Ljubljana, and by being a board member and director of the legal department of various Slovenian companies.

Katarina Kresal est la fondatrice et la présidente du Centre européen de résolution des conflits, une institution régionale qui fournit des procédures alternatives de résolution des conflits (ADR) et des consultations sur des projets d’état de droit. En tant qu’expert ADR, Mme Kresal est spécialisée dans la conception de systèmes de médiation, systèmes ADR et de leurs capacités, y compris l’intégration des femmes. Personnalité politique de premier plan, elle a été ministre de l’Intérieur, membre de l’Assemblée nationale (MP), présidente du parti parlementaire Liberal Democracy of Slovenia et vice-présidente de l’association Liberal International. Mme Kresal est également avocate et associée, responsable de la planification stratégique et des projets internationaux. Elle est également la responsable du Département de règlement des différends auprès du cabinet d’avocats Miro Senica et avocats, Ltd. Avant de devenir avocate, elle a acquis son expérience en matière de résolution des conflits et en affaires commerciales en travaillant comme conseillère indépendante, greffier du tribunal de Ljubljana, membre du conseil d’administration et directeur du service juridique de diverses sociétés slovènes.
