We are pleased to announce that the Turkish antenna has been launched in Istanbul on June 29-30, 2019. Following a preliminary meeting held in January 2019 at the local level on the women’s role in mediation and peacebuilding processes, the Turkish antenna gathered women activists, experts and practitioners for a two-day event organised with the cooperation of the Istanbul Policy Center and the EU Delegation in Ankara.
Starting from a broader analysis of Mediation and Gender-Inclusive Mediation, which saw the perspectives of the academia, the European External Action Service, the OSCE and UN women, the workshop focused on local and regional examples of mediation and successful stories with inspiring contributions from women across the Mediterranean sharing their experiences and best practices.
