The MWMN took part in the Women’s Forum, one of the ten thematic forums of the “Pre-Med” activities of the Med 2018 Conference. The Women’s Forum brought together inspiring and pioneering women, focusing on their work and acknowledging economic empowerment as a tool for growth.
It also showcased the experience of the MWMN representatives’ individual and collective effort in enhancing the role of women both in peace and security matters. The MWMN was represented by Magda Zenon, Maria Hadjipavlou, Kalliope Agapiou-Josephides, Hafida Benchehida, Rida Ahmed Al Tubuly, Ouided Bouchamaoui, Amal Jadou, Soad Shalaby.
The Forum was held on 21 November 2018 in Rome and was organised by The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) together with the Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale (ISPI) and in partnership with Women Empower the World, the MWMN, Aspen Initiative for Europe, and Aspen Institute Italia.
